On May 12th and 13th, our 2nd year Graphic Design students worked on the FORMA workshop together with students from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catanzaro, led by professors Chiara De Luongo and Paolo Genoese.
This workshop focused on Creative Stretching: an action to drive our creative intelligence and visual approach towards an exploration that goes beyond the limits of our usual comfort zone.
Creative Stretching Techniques are a set of conceptual and visual exercises designed to:
- · Increase mental flexibility (learning to deconstruct preconceived ideas and find unexpected solutions)
- · Break visual blocks (using the principle of word and sign as an effective tool to challenge conventions)
- · Foster collaboration (working through a collective training that questions the way we observe the world around us)
