The IDarte School and the Artepan bakery in Vitoria collaborated on an experimental project to design the packaging of one of their most iconic products: the signature croissant. This innovative initiative features the region’s top chefs creating unique croissants based on their own recipes, forming a biweekly collection sold in stores.

Third-year Graphic Design students were challenged to develop an original concept aligned with Artepan’s brand essence and to create primary and secondary packaging around that idea. The designs also had to express the idea of a collection and appeal to a young audience.

They got to work, and here are some of the final proposals presented in IDarte’s GlassRoom. Attending the presentation were Artepan’s Txema Pascual and Idoia Barreiro, who were reportedly highly impressed by the professionalism and creativity of the students’ solutions. They also offered valuable professional feedback on aspects such as materials, costs, brand visibility, and customer loyalty.
